Refund Policy

Brain Buddy AI Pty Ltd ("Brain Buddy AI", "we", "us") is committed to providing a fair and transparent refund policy that complies with Australian Consumer Law. This policy applies to all paid subscriptions and services purchased through the Brain Buddy AI Studio platform.
1. Free Trial
All new subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. No payment is collected during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. We encourage you to fully test the platform during your trial to ensure it meets your needs.
2. Subscription Refunds
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
If you cancel within the first 7 days of your initial paid subscription (after the trial), you may request a full refund of that month's payment by contacting support@brainbuddy.ai.
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for 12 months at a discounted rate. If you cancel an annual subscription:
- Within 30 days of purchase: Full refund available upon request
- After 30 days: No refund for unused months. Your subscription remains active until the end of the annual period.
2.3 Plan Downgrades
When you downgrade to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the difference in plan pricing during the current period.
3. Overage Charges
Overage charges for messages exceeding your plan's monthly limit are billed at the end of each billing cycle at $0.01 AUD per message. Overage charges are non-refundable as they reflect actual usage of the service.
4. Add-on Refunds
Add-on services (such as the Self-Learning Engine) follow the same refund terms as monthly subscriptions. You can cancel add-ons at any time and they remain active until the end of the current billing period.
5. Service Issues
If you experience a significant service outage or technical issue that prevents you from using the Platform for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours), you may request a proportional credit for the affected period. Contact support@brainbuddy.ai with details of the issue.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this refund policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, including:
- The right to a refund if services are not provided with due care and skill
- The right to a refund if services are not fit for purpose
- The right to a refund if services do not match their description
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email support@brainbuddy.ai with your account email and reason for the refund request
- Include relevant details (subscription date, plan, issue experienced)
- We will respond within 3 business days
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days
