What events can trigger webhooks?
Five event types: conversation started (new visitor opens chat), new message (any message in a conversation), lead captured (visitor shares their email/phone), handoff requested (visitor asks for a human or frustration detected), and booking created (visitor books through Calendly).
How do I verify the webhook is from Brain Buddy?
Every payload includes an HMAC-SHA256 signature in the X-Hub-Signature-256 header. You can verify this against your webhook secret to confirm the payload hasn't been tampered with.
Can I connect to Zapier?
Yes. Create a Zapier webhook trigger, paste the URL into Brain Buddy's webhook config, and select which events to send. From there, Zapier can route events to any of its 5,000+ connected apps.
Is there a retry mechanism for failed deliveries?
Brain Buddy tracks webhook delivery status. If a delivery fails, you can see the failure in your dashboard. Currently, retries are manual but the status indicator helps you catch issues quickly.
